Applying for a Cemetery
ICM applies for a permit to establish a cemetery on its property.
The Application Is Challenged
Because the cemetery requires rezoning, ICM members go before the Rutherford County Board of Zoning Appeals seeking a special exception to the current zoning. After a lengthy hearing, the board asks ICM to provide information about a proposed turning lane on Bradyville Pike onto Veals Road, along with soil samples and a soil-impact study, and gives ICM a month to supply it.
