With its Middle Tennessee Boulevard plaza outgrown, ICM goes looking for room to build — and finds fifteen acres on the edge of town.
Searching for a New Home
ICM leadership begins searching for land in March. In a county experiencing rapid growth, suitable property is hard to come by; in August, management finds fifteen undeveloped acres at the intersection of Bradyville Pike and Veals Road, about four miles from ICM's original home. Hopeful that this could finally be a lasting home for Murfreesboro's Muslims, the organization submits a purchase offer.
The Purchase Closes
ICM members work hard to raise the funds needed for the purchase. After a great deal of persistence from management and several local fundraisers, the deal finally closes in November.

The following month, a sign goes up on the property to let neighbors know about the land purchase and the plans for a new center. The sign carries the organization's web address, so that anyone with questions or comments can reach out directly.
